Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses, flavorful dishes
Conca del Grillo Barbera d'Alba Superiore by Silvano Bolmida presents a frank, recognizable profile: ripe red fruits — cherry and plum — accompanied by light spice notes and a hint of balsamic that enriches the backdrop. The acidity is lively and incisive, supporting the sip and making it brisk; the tannic texture is fine, more supportive than aggressive, giving the wine a well-balanced medium‑full body. The impression is one of clarity and harmony, with a controlled softness that enhances drinkability without weighing it down.

Suitable for flavorful traditional dishes: braises, robust ragù, roasts and medium‑aged cheeses, but it can also stand up to mushroom-based preparations and structured cured meats. Best enjoyed slightly chilled or after a short decanting, when fruity echoes and a pleasant underlying sapidity emerge. The persistence is balanced and leaves a finish of red fruit that invites another sip, making this Barbera ideal both for everyday meals and convivial occasions.
