More questions
The Pareto Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 from Tenuta di Nozzole, offered by Folonari, is a Toscana IGT presented in Imperial format and packaged in a wooden case. The reference to vintage and grape variety describes the wine without excess: it is a Tuscan Cabernet Sauvignon of a concentrated style, intended for occasions that call for a large bottle or a gift presentation.
In the glass it shows a deep ruby color; on the nose there are impressions of ripe black fruit, light herbal notes and spicy nuances, presented with restraint. On the palate it has structure and noticeable tannins, balanced between fruit character and body; the finish is persistent but not assertive. It pairs with red meats and aged cheeses; recommended serving temperature around 16–18 °C. The wooden case packaging and Imperial format make it suitable for special occasions or for those seeking a bottle with character.

The story
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
