Langhe DOC Rosato Solerose - Fontanafredda is born in the heart of the Langhe, a land famous for its wine-growing vocation and production of high-quality wines. Made mainly from Nebbiolo grapes, this rosé stands out for its freshness and a lively fruity expression, typical of the Piedmont territory. The vinification method involves a short maceration on the skins, which gives the wine an elegant bright pink color and a balanced structure.

On the nose, delicate scents of strawberry, wild rose, and a mineral note that recalls the ravines of the Langhe emerge. On the palate, it reveals itself soft and fresh, with good acidity that invites drinking and a slight final sapidity. It pairs skillfully with seafood dishes, white meats, and delicate appetizers, enhancing the versatility of this rosé thanks to the balance between freshness and body. A refined choice for those seeking an authentic expression of Piedmont.

Winery history
The estate made history in the 19th century: purchased by Vittorio Emanuele II in 1858 and associated with Rosa Vercellana, the property was developed by the Mirafiore family and had already established its commercial reputation by the late 1800s. In the 20th century the Fontanafredda brand consolidated as a reference producer in the Langhe; after hardships related to crises and wars, the company regained momentum and, in 2008, was relaunched under new ownership led by Oscar Farinetti. In recent years Fontanafredda has undertaken a program of technical renewal and sustainability known as “Rinascimento Verde,” publishing sustainability reports and holding certifications as reported by the producer.
Production philosophy
Local production focused on quality, the protection of the vineyard landscape and sustainability. Fontanafredda coordinates a network of suppliers to operate across a wide area while maintaining a strong focus on conversion to organic farming, biodiversity and the transmission of agricultural practices between generations, with a significant investment in storytelling and the local community.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, the estate manages vineyards in several municipalities of the Langhe and lower Piedmont at varying altitudes. The area is characterized by limestone hills and the typical continental climate of the Langhe.
