The Chardonnay Riserva DOC "Majerla" produced by Dorigati winery is a refined expression of one of the most famous and appreciated grape varieties in the international wine scene, beautifully adapted to the terroir of Trentino. This reserve is a tribute to the mastery and winemaking tradition of the Dorigati winery, which has been passionately and dedicatedly overseeing the winemaking process since 1858.

The selection of Chardonnay grapes is rigorously done by hand to ensure that only the best clusters are used for the production of this reserve wine. This is followed by slow fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, which adds complexity, elegance, and a delicate toasted note that harmoniously complements the typical fruity freshness of this grape variety.

Visually, the Chardonnay Riserva DOC "Majerla" presents a bright golden yellow color. The nose reveals intense notes of ripe fruit such as peach and melon, enriched by hints of vanilla and butter, due to the elegant passage through wood. On the palate, it is full, enveloping, with a well-balanced structure between acidity and smoothness, leading to a long and pleasant finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine also pairs wonderfully with more elaborate dishes such as creamy shrimp risotto, roasted chicken with herbs, or aged cheeses. It provides a winemaking experience that encompasses the richness and variety of flavors of Trentino, making each sip a moment to remember. Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C to fully appreciate its aromatic and taste profile.

Winery history
The Dorigati family has been active in Mezzocorona for generations: the company traces its origins to 1858 and developed as a family-run business dedicated to viticulture in the Piana Rotaliana. The current premises at Via Dante 5 date back to the early 20th century, with later extensions and a winery renovation completed in 1998. In the 1980s the winery also launched the Methius project, a Trento DOC Metodo Classico reserve.
Production philosophy
The winery focuses on territorial identity and quality: traditional viticultural practices, cluster selection and winemaking designed to bring out the character of the individual vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana and the pedemontane hills. It produces both 'classic' wines tied to the territory and Metodo Classico sparkling wines, with attention to artisanal process management.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are concentrated in the Piana Rotaliana and on the foothill slopes of Mezzocorona, with some plots associated with specific crus, such as the 'Bagolari' vineyard. Some Traditional Method cuvées come from hilly areas such as Faedo and Pressano; the soils include fluvial and glacial deposits typical of the area.
