The Meursault Village from the Piguet Girardin winery is an excellent example of the elegance and finesse that Burgundy can offer. This white wine, primarily made from Chardonnay grapes, stands out for its rich and complex aromatic bouquet. Prominent notes of white-fleshed fruit blend harmoniously with hints of hazelnut and light touches of vanilla, a result of careful maturation in barrels.

On the palate, Meursault Village showcases a balanced structure, with a lively acidity that enhances its freshness without overpowering the rich creaminess that characterizes it. The long aromatic persistence introduces mineral nuances that testify to the uniqueness of the Meursault terroir.

This wine pairs magnificently with refined dishes such as herb risottos, creamy fish dishes, or white meats with a delicate sauce. Perfect also as an aperitif, the Meursault Village from Piguet Girardin represents a sophisticated choice for lovers of high-quality white wines. Being produced in limited quantities, every sip is a unique and precious experience.

Discover the story and wines of Domaine Piguet-Girardin.

Small domaine in the Côte de Beaune (Burgundy), based in Auxey-Duresses; it farms around 18 appellations across approximately 12 hectares and produces white and red wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Region: Borgogna (Côte de Beaune)
Country: Francia
Founded: 1985
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir
Based in Auxey‑Duresses, approximately 7 km from Beaune. Approximately 18 appellations cultivated on some 12 hectares of the Côte de Beaune. Family founded by the union of Anne‑Marie Girardin and Dominique Piguet. Hand-harvested and double selection Aging in barriques with varying percentages of new oak.
Winery history
The estate was born from the merger of the Girardin and Piguet families, when Anne‑Marie Girardin and Dominique Piguet merged their vineyards and resources in 1985. Initially the combined holdings covered about 6 hectares; in the 1990s and 2000s the property expanded through acquisitions nearby. Since 2016 their son Damien has gradually taken over management, introducing updates while remaining true to the family tradition.
Production philosophy
The estate favors a reasoned approach to viticulture, with reduced phytosanitary treatments, hand-harvesting and double sorting to select the grapes. In the cellar, techniques are used to preserve the finesse of the fruit: gentle pressing for Chardonnay, cold maceration and controlled extraction for Pinot Noir, and fermentations and aging in wood, with the percentage of new barriques varying according to the climate.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Auxey‑Duresses, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. The domaine owns parcels in well‑known villages of the area such as Pommard, Meursault, Auxey‑Duresses, Puligny‑Montrachet, Chassagne‑Montrachet, Santenay and Maranges; soils include calcareous‑clayey types.
