This Pinot Grigio DOC, produced by the renowned winery Piera Martellozzo and part of the "Pura Terra" line, represents an excellent example of organic Italian wine. Cultivated in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region known for its rich winemaking tradition, this wine stands out for its quality and environmental respect at every stage of production.

The Piera Martellozzo Pinot Grigio showcases a light straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it opens with a delicate and pleasantly aromatic bouquet, intertwining notes of white flowers, fruits like green apple and pear, and slight hints of hazelnut, a result of meticulous processing and aging.

On the palate, freshness is the star, supported by balanced acidity that makes each sip lively and inviting. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, ending with a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and freshness.

Recommended to be served at a temperature of 8-10°C, this Pinot Grigio pairs wonderfully with light dishes such as fish-based appetizers, vegetable pasta dishes, and fresh cheeses. Additionally, it is an excellent companion for a summer evening or an elegant aperitif.

Sustainability is a cornerstone for Piera Martellozzo, who, with the "Pura Terra" line, is committed to ensuring organic viticulture practices without the use of synthetic chemicals, thus preserving the purity of the terroir and offering the consumer a wine that is an authentic expression of its environment.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
