More questions
The Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG Classico from Zeni, in a 375 ml format, offers a sweet, enveloping profile typical of the category. Visually it shows a deep ruby red color with slight garnet reflections. On the nose it opens with aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry and sour cherry, accompanied by notes of dried fruit and delicate spices. On the palate the sweetness is well balanced by fresh acidity and soft tannins, presenting a creamy texture, a compact body and a long, flavorful finish that invites sipping in small measures.
It pairs naturally with desserts featuring chocolate or fruit, with dry pastries and with blue or aged cheeses, but can also be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative wine. It is recommended to serve it chilled, around 10–12 °C, in a large glass to enhance its aromas. The 375 ml format makes it suitable for multiple occasions or for measured sharing.

The winery
Zeni 1870
Veneto (Province of Verona)Italy
Cantina F.lli Zeni 1870 — a historic family winery based in Bardolino (Verona) on Lake Garda; produces wines from the Veronese DOCs, including Custoza DOC.
The story
The winery dates back to 1870. The family story begins with Bartolomeo Zeni; over time the family (notably Gaetano, known as 'Nino') shifted production toward separate vinification of grapes to highlight each origin.
Production philosophy
Philosophy: to valorize terroir and native varieties, vinify grapes from different zones separately, with research and respect for the vineyard. The winery emphasizes grape quality and environmentally respectful, innovative cellar practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Historic headquarters in Bardolino (Province of Verona). Vineyards and grapes come from the main Veronese DOCs listed by the company: Bardolino, Custoza, Lugana, Valpolicella and Soave; there is also an operational cellar in Valpolicella (Fumane). Morainic soils around Lake Garda.
