More questions
Monnalisa offers a Sangiovese Superiore Rosso Romagna DOC with a straightforward, approachable character. In the glass it shows a lively ruby colour, with aromas recalling ripe red fruits and light herbaceous notes typical of Sangiovese. On the palate there is a balanced structure, present but soft tannins and a freshness that supports drinking, making it suitable for everyday consumption and pairing with dishes from the regional cuisine. Its aromatic profile is honest and not overly showy, with a pleasant, persistent finish that invites a second sip.
It is a versatile option: pairs well with tomato-based first courses, white meats and medium-aged cheeses, without overpowering more delicate flavours. The producer's touch is evident in a clean, measured profile, intended for customers seeking a territorial, well-mannered red. We recommend serving it at a temperate temperature; a short decantation enhances the initial aromas but is not necessary to appreciate it. It is also suitable for those looking for a no-fuss bottle to bring to the table, ideal for informal gatherings and everyday dinners, offering good value for money.
