More questions

The Sauvignon Collio DOC Ronco dei Folo from Folonari shows a restrained, aromatic profile typical of the Sauvignon grapes associated with the stated DOC. On the nose there are notes of fresh aromatic herbs, white flowers and citrus, with a subtle hint of white-fleshed fruit and a mineral thread that supports drinkability. No information on vintage or vinification is provided; the description focuses on the olfactory characteristics perceivable to the taster.

On the palate it is lively and sapid, with balanced acidity that gives freshness and persistence. The structure is lean but coherent, suitable with seafood starters, salads, grilled vegetables and fresh cheeses; also fitting as an aperitif. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, to highlight its aromas and gustatory tension. This short profile is intended to guide purchase without detailed oenological claims, leaving the final judgment to personal tasting. It suits consumers seeking freshness and immediacy.

In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.

Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
