The Sfursat di Valtellina DOCG in Magnum format by Casa Vinicola Rainoldi is a superlative expression of Nebbiolo, known in the region as Chiavennasca, brought to its maximum expression through the drying process. This tradition, typical of Valtellina, allows us to produce a wine of extraordinary concentration and depth, which in a Magnum format (1.5 litres) promises not only an imposing stage presence but also an amplified aging potential, allowing the wine to develop in time complexity and even richer nuances.

Casa Vinicola Rainoldi, founded in 1925 and located in the heart of the picturesque Valtellina, is deeply rooted in the winemaking tradition of the region. The Rainoldi family, with its passion and dedication, has been able to elevate Sfursat to one of the symbols of Lombard oenology, carefully selecting the Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards located on terraced slopes, optimally exposed to benefit from the unique microclimate of the valley.

After the harvest, the grapes are left to dry in ventilated fruit cellars until January, losing part of their aqueous content and concentrating in sugars, acidity and aromas. This process gives Sfursat di Valtellina its characteristic aromatic intensity and structure. The fermentation and subsequent maturation in French oak barriques enrich the wine with further levels of complexity and softness, preparing it for long aging.

The color of the wine is an intense garnet red, with reflections that tend towards orange with maturation. On the nose, Sfursat reveals a complex bouquet, with notes of ripe berries, plum, and an elegant background of spices, tobacco and cocoa, the result of drying the grapes and aging in wood. In the mouth, the wine expresses great richness and concentration, with velvety tannins and a persistent acidic vein that guarantees its balance and invites a subsequent sip.

Perfect in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as roasted red meats, game, mushroom-based dishes and mature cheeses, the Sfursat di Valtellina DOCG in Magnum format by Casa Vinicola Rainoldi is ideal for special occasions, offering the opportunity to share a moment of conviviality through a wine that represents the culmination of the Valtellina winemaking tradition.
