To create Vecchio Samperi, a "racking" process is adopted, which consists of transferring small quantities of newly produced wine into barrels containing already aged wines. The name of the wine itself recalls the historic Contrada Samperi, where the old sapling vines that have deep roots are found.

This wine has a brilliant amber color, illuminated by orange nuances. Its scents tell an extraordinary story, with aromas of dried fruit, spices, honey, dried herbs, saltiness and much more. On the palate, Vecchio Samperi is rich, intense and enveloping, offering complexity and notable energy. Its persistence seems endless, with a flavor that slowly develops and expands.

Its versatility makes it perfect for enhancing a variety of dishes: it is ideal for pairing with mature cheeses, braised meats, baked turbot, bottarga and oysters.
