Bastianich's Schioppettino DOC Friuli Colli Orientali is a wine that captures the essence of one of the most fascinating native vines of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This variety, also known as Ribolla Nera, is celebrated for its ability to produce aromatic, spicy and very elegant wines, characteristics that the Bastianich winery, under the expert guidance of Lidia Bastianich and family, manages to enhance through viticultural and oenological practices careful and sustainable.

Located in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, a wine-growing area renowned for its rich and varied soils and for an ideal microclimate that favors the optimal ripening of the grapes, Bastianich is committed to enhancing the local varieties, underlining the richness and diversity of the panorama regional wine production. Schioppettino is one of the jewels of their production, a wine that reflects the profound connection between territory and tradition.

The vinification of Schioppettino di Bastianich involves traditional fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging in barrique to further enrich the wine with complexity and nuances. This process allows us to maintain and enhance the natural aromas of the vine, characterized by notes of red and black fruits, black pepper and a hint of aromatic herbs.

Visually, Schioppettino has an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections that anticipate the liveliness and freshness of the wine. On the nose, it offers a complex and inviting aromatic profile, with an explosion of spices, among which black pepper stands out, accompanied by notes of blackberry, raspberry and a subtle balsamic touch, which adds depth to the sense of smell.

In the mouth, the wine reveals an elegant and well-balanced structure, with fine tannins and an acidity that supports its harmony and guarantees a long persistence. The aromatic richness perceived on the nose is confirmed, offering a complex and satisfying tasting experience, with a spicy and slightly mineral finish that leaves the palate clean and refreshed.

Ideal in combination with red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, Bastianich's Schioppettino DOC Friuli Colli Orientali is a distinctive expression of Friulian viticulture, capable of offering a sip of territory and tradition in every glass, celebrating one of the most characteristic vines and fascinating places in the region.
