The Aglianico del Molise DOC Riserva "Sassius" by Di Majo Norante is a prized expression of one of the most noble and historic vines of Southern Italy, Aglianico, cultivated in the lands of Molise, a region that is emerging strongly in the panorama Italian wine producer for the quality and authenticity of its wines. Di Majo Norante is a winery that has been dedicated to enhancing native varieties for generations, with an approach that balances tradition and innovation.

"Sassius" has a deep, almost impenetrable ruby red color, which anticipates the complexity and olfactory and gustatory richness of the wine. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and complex, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate, tobacco and a light balsamic touch, given by the aging in wood which adds elegance without overpowering the fruit.

In the mouth, "Sassius" shows all its power and structure, with well-present but velvety tannins, which ensure excellent longevity. The acidity is well balanced, contributing to a pleasant freshness that makes the sip harmonious. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.

The Aglianico del Molise DOC Riserva "Sassius" is a wine that takes time to be fully appreciated, ideal with intense and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, mushroom-based dishes and mature cheeses. It is also a wine that can benefit from further aging in the bottle, developing greater complexity and aromatic nuances.
