Country: Argentina
Founded: 2010
Grapes: Malbec, Cabernet Franc
Travesía 1908: flagship cuvée produced only in selected vintages. Historic vineyards restored by the Savina family. High-altitude vineyards in Vistalba Boutique production and selective distribution
Winery history
The project honors Ariel Savina’s grandparents, Sebastiano and Nazzareno, who immigrated to Argentina in 1908. After years of research and restoration of the family vineyards, the first wine under the Tiano & Nareno label was produced in 2010; since then the label has released only vintages judged excellent, maintaining very limited production and selective distribution.
Production philosophy
Niche production focused on the quality of the terroir: rigorous selection of the grapes, respect for vineyard work and careful winemaking that prioritises the expression of high-altitude vineyards. The winery releases the wine only in vintages considered the best, following an approach similar to high-end boutique projects.
Terroir and vineyards
Mendoza Province, high-altitude vineyards with calcareous-sandy soils; the vines used for the cuvée Travesía come from historic parcels in the area.
