The Piedirosso Roccamonfina PGI "Stregamora" by Villa Matilde Avallone is a red wine that enhances with elegance and intensity the qualities of the Piedirosso vine, native to Campania. This label represents the essence of a unique volcanic territory, Roccamonfina, known for its mineral-rich soils that give the wines distinctive aromatic depth and complexity. Villa Matilde Avallone, a winery that has dedicated great attention to the rediscovery and valorization of native Campania vines, produces "Stregamora" with the aim of offering a modern and refined interpretation of Piedirosso, preserving its varietal characteristics and territorial expression.

The winemaking is careful to enhance the peculiarities of the vine, through the controlled use of modern techniques that allow the freshness of the fruit to be preserved and the wine to be enriched with complex aromatic nuances. The result is a Piedirosso that combines the typical acidic liveliness and fruitiness with a more mature and layered structure, thanks also to a short passage in wood that adds depth without overpowering the identity of the grape variety.

Visually, the "Stregamora" presents itself with a brilliant ruby red color, with violet reflections which testify to its youth and vitality. On the nose, the wine unfolds a wide spectrum of aromas, dominated by notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and a touch of plum, enriched by nuances of spices, aromatic herbs and a light hint of smoke and minerality, which reflect the influence of the volcanic terroir.

In the mouth, "Stregamora" reveals a surprising freshness and liveliness, supported by a well-balanced acidity and soft, velvety tannins. The flavors of ripe fruit blend with spicy and balsamic notes, in a harmonious and persistent palate, which invites another sip.

Ideal in combination with dishes from Campania and Mediterranean cuisine, such as pasta with meat-based sauces, grilled or baked meat dishes, and medium-aged cheeses, the Piedirosso Roccamonfina PGI "Stregamora" by Villa Matilde Avallone is a wine that proudly celebrates the roots and identity of one of Campania's most characteristic vines, offering a tasting experience that combines tradition and innovation.
