The exclusively Chardonnay grapes that make up this wine come from our oldest vineyards located near Lake Iseo, fully enjoying the advantages of its particular microclimate. Its effervescence is gentle, with an underlined perlage, while the straw color varies in shade based on the vintage.

As for the aroma, it offers a complex bouquet that evokes sensations of fresh fruit, notes of acacia and lime. The fermentations take place partly in lightly toasted barriques, helping to give the wine a touch of elegance, finesse and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for a pleasant sensation of softness.

This wine finds its perfect harmony with delicate first courses, fish-based dishes and white meats.

Discover the story and wines of La Montina.

A Franciacorta winery based in Monticelli Brusati, specializing in Franciacorta DOCG made using the traditional method, and known for its hospitality, wine shop, and a contemporary art gallery in the cellar.
Region: Lombardia
Country: Italia
Founded: 1987
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, Erbamat
Production of Franciacorta DOCG in various styles. Wine shop and wine bar with guided tours and tastings at the winery. Villa Baiana: the estate’s historic residence, dedicated to events and receptions. Permanent contemporary art gallery on the estate. Partnership as the "official sparkling wine" of AC Milan.
Winery history
La Montina was established as the Bozza family's winemaking enterprise: its official founding dates to 1987 and was carried out by three brothers from the family — Vittorio, Gian Carlo and Alberto. The company developed around the historic residence Villa Baiana, gradually expanding its winery facilities, wine shop and a contemporary art museum/gallery serving the public and events.
Production philosophy
La Montina interprets wine as an expression of the land and of art: vineyard and cellar work follows the Traditional Method for Franciacorta DOCG, with attention to grape quality, to the transformation of the vineyard, and to an approach that combines production, hospitality and a cultural project.
Terroir and vineyards
Located on the northeastern edge of Franciacorta, the estate benefits from a microclimate influenced by the nearby Lake Iseo and a morainic amphitheatre. The vineyards are planted on hills with calcareous-loamy soils and exposures favorable to the area's traditional metodo classico sparkling wine production.
