Appius was born from the desire of Hans Terzer, the winery's historic oenologist, to produce the wine of his dreams. A skilful blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes harvested when perfectly ripe. A wine that is fermented and aged in barriques, thus acquiring elegance, fruity complexity and soft minerality.
In the glass it shows a beautiful bright straw yellow color. The olfactory profile is fascinating and rich, characterized by aromas of tropical fruits mixed with pleasant hints of toasted vanilla. A soft and creamy sip, but at the same time fresh, with a characteristic mineral trace. The finish is particularly satisfying and persistent.
A versatile wine that lends itself well to accompanying numerous dishes throughout the meal, excellent with oysters, shellfish and fish dishes in all its variations. It is recommended also to sip it with mushroom and truffle specialties, and with typical dishes of Asian cuisine.
