The Sauvignon Langhe DOC in Magnum format by Marchesi di Grésy is a masterful exemplification of the potential of the Sauvignon Blanc grape in the Langhe, one of the most prestigious and varied wine-growing regions of Piedmont. The Marchesi di Grésy winery, renowned for its dedication to quality and expression of terroir, exploits the uniqueness of its viticultural heritage to produce wines that reflect the excellence and complexity of the territory.

The Magnum format (1.5 litres) is particularly appreciated by wine lovers for its ability to promote a slower and more gradual aging of the wine, allowing the Sauvignon Blanc to develop an even greater aromatic richness and flavor complexity over time.

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this wine come from carefully selected vineyards, grown on characteristic Langhe soils, which give the wine distinctive mineral notes and an excellent structure. The microclimate of the region, with its significant temperature variations between day and night, contributes to the aroma and freshness of the wine, characteristics which are enhanced by careful winemaking aimed at preserving the integrity of the fruit.

After manual harvesting, the grapes undergo soft pressing, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This method preserves the freshness and typical aromas of Sauvignon Blanc, producing a wine that is both lively and structured, with a marked varietal expressiveness.

Visually, the Sauvignon Langhe DOC by Marchesi di Grésy has a brilliant straw yellow color, with greenish reflections. On the nose, the wine unfolds a rich and complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, citrus, aromatic herbs and a subtle minerality that reflects the terroir of origin. These olfactory sensations are accompanied by floral and vegetal nuances, which add depth and refinement to the aromatic profile.

In the mouth, the wine is characterized by a notable freshness, supported by a well-balanced acidity which enhances its fruity flavors and minerality. The structure is elegant and harmonious, with a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and freshness.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with a wide range of dishes, including light starters, fish and seafood dishes, the Sauvignon Langhe DOC in Magnum format by Marchesi di Grésy is an excellent choice for enthusiasts looking for a wine high quality white, capable of offering a unique and satisfying tasting experience.

Production focused on elegance and the expression of the terroir. Four estates between the Langhe and Monferrato. Winery history
The estate of Tenute Cisa Asinari has been linked to the di Grésy family since the 18th century; the family has owned the Martinenga cru since 1797. Winemaking under the Grésy label in its modern form was begun by Alberto di Grésy around 1973, when the family decided to produce wine exclusively from their own grapes and to promote wines that expressed the identity of the vineyards.
Production philosophy
The estate places great emphasis on vineyard care and on respecting the grape varieties and tradition: winemaking aims to enhance the terroir’s expression without altering it, producing elegant, balanced wines that reflect the character of each vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
The estates are located across the Langhe and Monferrato and include Martinenga, Monte Aribaldo, La Serra and Monte Colombo. Martinenga is regarded as one of the area’s finest geographical indications, and the grapes from all the estates are generally vinified at the Martinenga winery.
