Ribolla Gialla Friuli Colli Orientali DOC 2023 from Specogna is a white wine that enchants with its freshness and vivacity. Made from the Ribolla Gialla variety, native to Friuli, this wine is renowned for its distinct aromatic profile and elegant acidity. The 2023 harvest was characterized by balanced weather conditions that allowed for optimal grape maturation.

Specogna's Ribolla Gialla showcases a brilliant straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex and inviting bouquet, with notes of white-fleshed fruits like green apple and pear, enriched by floral nuances and mineral hints that reflect the typical terroir of the Eastern Hills of Friuli. On the palate, the wine impresses with its freshness and the harmonious balance between acidity and structure. The finish is persistent and clean, with a slight almond note that invites another sip.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, and poultry, and can be considered an excellent companion for a summer evening. An exemplary specimen that demonstrates Specogna's mastery in producing wines that clearly and elegantly express the character of their territory.

Winery history
The Specogna family is closely linked to the hills of Rocca Bernarda: according to official sources, Leonardo Specogna purchased the first plot in 1963, and the estate gradually evolved from a mixed subsistence operation into a producer of quality wines. Today the estate continues with the new generation, including Cristian and Michele, who have brought international visibility to the winery.
Production philosophy
The estate aims to express the character of the terroir through vineyard and cellar choices focused on quality: attention to the soil and vineyard location, careful harvesting, and winemaking designed to preserve varietal and regional identity. It also promotes projects related to sustainability and the cultural promotion of wine.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Rocca Bernarda in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The soils mentioned for some wines are composed of marl and sandstone with hillside exposure, elements that contribute to the distinctive character of the wines produced.
