Lis Neris is the company's flagship red wine. It stands out for its “Bordeaux” profile (Merlot 90-95% and Cabernet Sauvignon 5-10%) and for its Friulian thoroughbred character. The first vintage of production was 1989, when the share of Cabernet was a priority, but over the years Merlot has prevailed with its warmth and softness.
The grapes are grown with organic fertilization and integrated phytosanitary defense with the abolition of chemical weeding; it is then carefully selected and hand-picked. Maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days during which we proceed regularly with the délestage technique. The maceration temperature is 26-28 ° C. Maturation in new 225 liter French oak barrels for 15/20 months follows. Bottling and bottle aging for at least 12 months.
Lis Neris is a refined and complex red with a ruby red color with violet reflections. It offers a delicious bouquet with notes of red fruits among which the raspberry dominates, and fruity and spicy vanilla aromas that are completed with elegant tannins, good body and right balance.
A warm and rich wine that is also characterized by a long persistent finish. A red that promises quality and personality, excellent for important occasions. To be paired with red meats and aged cheeses.
