Vermentino di Gualdo del Re is born in the sunny lands of Liguria, a region dedicated to the cultivation of this aromatic and fresh grape variety. The Vermentino grapes, handpicked at the right level of ripeness, give rise to a wine with a bright straw-yellow color and intense aromas reminiscent of floral and citrus notes, with a delicate hint of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is harmonious and sapid, with a lively freshness that enhances its drinkability and a persistent finish, slightly almondy, typical of a terroir overlooking the sea. The aging in steel preserves the aromatic purity and the crispness of the fruit, making it ideal to accompany fish dishes, shellfish, and summer salads. This Vermentino di Gualdo del Re is a true tribute to the Ligurian territory, capable of conveying in the glass the lightness and brightness of its land of origin.

Winery history
Originally established as a mixed agricultural estate in Suvereto, the winery progressively specialized in viticulture from the 1980s. The arrival of oenologist Barbara Tamburini in the early 2000s marked a shift toward single-varietal wines and crus. In 2022 the estate was acquired by Mauro Gestri, who initiated a plan to renovate and expand the vineyards and winery facilities.
Production philosophy
Enhance the identity of each grape variety by working in the vineyard and cellar with rigor and experimentation to achieve elegance, expressive clarity, and wines capable of conveying the character of the terroir.

Located in Suvereto, on a hillside amphitheatre overlooking the sea and the Island of Elba; the vineyards lie on mixed soils of clay, stone and silt and reach elevations of around 100 m above sea level. The estate cultivates about 27 hectares of vineyard.
