Carlo Hauner's Malvasia delle Lipari DOC Naturale represents an enchanting expression of one of Italy's most distinctive sweet wines, coming from the magical Aeolian Islands. This wine is the result of a careful selection of Malvasia grapes, grown on volcanic soils which give the wine unique characteristics in terms of minerality and aromatic intensity. The 50cl bottle is a perfect choice for those who wish to enjoy this precious liquid on special occasions, offering an ideal quantity for sharing.

Carlo Hauner, an artist and visionary who fell in love with the Aeolian Islands, has dedicated his life to the revitalization of the island's winemaking tradition with an approach that combines respect for tradition and innovation. Malvasia delle Lipari Naturale is a tribute to his passion and commitment, resulting in a wine that is both a sensory experience and a celebration of the island's rich viticultural heritage.

Visually, the wine presents itself with an intense golden yellow color, which suggests the richness and complexity that is about to be revealed. On the nose, it offers an explosive bouquet of aromas, with predominant notes of ripe yellow pulp fruit, such as peaches and apricots, enriched by nuances of honey, aromatic herbs and a distinctive mineral touch that recalls its volcanic origin.

On the palate, Carlo Hauner's Malvasia delle Lipari DOC Naturale is extraordinarily balanced, with a natural sweetness that is perfectly counterbalanced by a fresh acidity. Ripe fruit flavors blend with notes of honey and a light touch of spice, creating a fascinating complexity that persists into a long and memorable finish.

This wine is an excellent choice as an accompaniment to desserts, blue cheeses or to be enjoyed alone as a meditation. Its richness and complexity make it particularly suitable for special occasions, offering a tasting experience that remains etched in the memory.

The limited production and attention to detail in every phase of winemaking make Carlo Hauner's Malvasia delle Lipari DOC Naturale a rare and precious specimen, testifying to the uniqueness of the Lipari terroir and the craftsmanship that characterizes Hauner's wine production .

Winery history
The winery is named after Carlo Hauner, a Brescian artist who in the 1960s moved to Salina and began cultivating and restoring abandoned terraces. The winery's official history begins in 1968; Hauner renewed vineyards and local practices, also experimenting with techniques such as grape drying and fermentation control. The modern winery was built in the 1980s in Lingua. After the founder's death in 1996, management passed to the next generation, which has maintained a focus on Malvasia and local identity; the company website reports a significant production of Malvasia, with about 50,000 bottles cited for this wine.
Production philosophy
Production is based on recovering the local viticultural heritage and on integrating tradition and innovation: adherence to Aeolian practices combined with modern winemaking controls. The winery emphasizes its island origin, the artisanal care of its wines and its visual identity: many labels reproduce works by Carlo Hauner himself. The winery also produces other typical local products, such as capers from Salina.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located on the island of Salina in the Aeolian Islands. The vineyards are cultivated on terraces carved into the volcanic rock; the Mediterranean climate and maritime influence, together with volcanic soils, contribute to the mineral and aromatic character of the wines, particularly the Malvasia delle Lipari.
