The Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC from Girlan is a quintessential example of how the unique terroir of Alto Adige can enhance the freshness and purity of this white varietal. This wine is produced in the renowned viticultural area of Alto Adige, known for its mountainous slopes and ideal climate that ensures excellent grape maturation.

On the nose, the Pinot Bianco from Girlan offers a delicately aromatic bouquet, with notes of fresh fruit such as pear and green apple, hints of white flowers, and a light mineral touch that reflects the rich composition of its land of origin. The aroma invites a refreshing and purifying tasting experience.

On the palate, the wine reveals a balanced profile with a lively freshness that stimulates the palate. The well-integrated acidity harmoniously complements the medium-light structure of the wine, making it extremely drinkable and versatile for culinary pairings. Its elegance is highlighted by a clean and persistent finish that leaves room for reflections of crunchy fruit.

Ideal as an aperitif, this Pinot Bianco pairs perfectly with light fish dishes, vegetable-based appetizers, and fresh cheeses. It is also an excellent companion to pasta dishes with white sauces or delicate risottos.

Serve chilled, preferably between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, to fully enjoy its expressiveness and finesse. The Girlan winery, with its passion and commitment to high-quality viticulture, produces this Pinot Bianco following sustainable methods that respect the environment and enhance the varietal characteristics of the grapes.

A true delight for the palate that embodies the essence of Alto Adige in every sip.

Winery history
Founded in 1923 by an initial group of growers who chose an ancient 16th-century farmhouse in Cornaiano, the winery has evolved into a cooperative bringing together about 200 families. The ancient underground cellars and historic buildings coexist with modern facilities: harvesting and winemaking are managed with care for each individual vineyard to highlight local specificities.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to showcase historic local varieties and to interpret international varieties in a way that reflects the local terroir. Sustainability is central: targeted agronomic practices, reduced use of mineral fertilizers, energy-saving measures and the introduction of lighter bottles to reduce emissions.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are located mainly in the Oltradige and the Bassa Atesina, on morainic and porphyric soils. Some crus and sites mentioned include Gschleier, Plattenriegl, Montiggl and Mazon, known for their diversity of exposure and soil.
Awards and recognitions
The winery and individual wines have received national and international recognition: for example, the Trattmann Pinot Noir Riserva has been listed among wines awarded "3 Bicchieri" by Gambero Rosso for consecutive years; the Vigna Ganger Pinot Noir Riserva has received very high scores from Wine Advocate; the Gschleier Alte Reben Vernatsch has been highlighted by Decanter among notable wines.
