The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC - Magnum - Solane - Santi is a masterful expression of the winemaking savoir-faire of the Santi winery, which celebrates the art of winemaking in the prestigious Valpolicella area. Presented in an impressive Magnum format, which enhances its presence and favors its evolution over time, "Solane" represents an excellent selection of the traditional Ripasso method, a technique that gives the wine greater body, complexity and aromatic intensity.

This Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore stands out for its deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections that underline its maturity and richness. On the nose, the wine unfolds an intense and enveloping aromatic bouquet, where the notes of ripe red fruit dominate, such as cherries and plums, enriched by nuances of sweet spices, chocolate and a slight accent of tobacco, the result of the aging in wood which adds layers of complexity without overpowering the fruit.

On the palate it offers a rich and layered tasting experience, with a perfect balance between fruit sweetness, refreshing acidity and silky tannins. The Ripasso technique, which involves a second fermentation of the wine on Amarone pomace, gives the wine a robust structure, enriching it with persistent flavors and a complexity that invites reflection.

Ideal to accompany red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, this Valpolicella Ripasso is also perfect as a meditation wine, capable of evolving and revealing new facets over the course of the evening. The Magnum format also makes it a prestigious choice for celebrating special occasions, ensuring that the wine maintains its expressiveness and quality over time.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
