The Primitivo di Manduria DOP "Mandurino" from the Cerfeda winery is a refined example of one of the most celebrated wines from Southern Italy. This red wine, characterized by a protected designation of origin (DOP), offers a profoundly and intensely engaging tasting experience.

Hailing from the sun-drenched lands of Puglia, in the specific area of Manduria, the Primitivo "Mandurino" is produced exclusively with Primitivo grapes selected with great care. The harvest is done manually, in full respect of local traditions, typically in mid-September when the grapes have reached their peak ripeness.

The vinification process involves maceration of the skins for about 10-12 days, a practice that allows for the extraction of the maximum aromatic and polyphenolic characteristics of the grapes. Subsequently, the wine matures in barriques for about 6-12 months before being bottled. This process bestows the "Mandurino" with a robust structure and an elegant palate, with a perfect harmony between acidity and tannins.

On the nose, the Primitivo di Manduria DOP "Mandurino" opens with intense aromas of ripe fruit, such as plums and cherries, enriched by delicate hints of sweet spices and vanilla, derived from the aging in wood. On the palate, it offers a full and velvety taste, with a persistent sensation of warmth and balance, leading to a long and pleasantly spicy finish.

Excellent when served at a temperature of 18°C, this wine is ideal for pairing with robust dishes such as meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. An excellent choice for those who wish to experience the essence of Puglian terroir through a wine of great expressiveness.
