Description

The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOCG by Le Poiane, signed Velina Bolla, is born in the classic area of Valpolicella, a land dedicated to Corvina and native grape varieties that give identity to this wine. The ripasso technique, which consists of refermenting the young wine on the Amarone grape skins, provides structure and complexity, giving a smooth body and a unique aromatic richness.

In the glass, it presents an intense ruby color, while the aroma reveals a blend of ripe red fruits, cherry and morello cherry, enriched by delicate spicy notes and hints of cocoa and vanilla derived from aging, which traditionally takes place in wooden barrels. On the palate, it is enveloping and warm, with silky tannins that support a long persistence.

This Valpolicella Ripasso is ideal to accompany red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses, enhancing every dish with its complexity and harmony typical of the DOCG denomination.

Winery history
