Kante's Vitovska IGT is an authentic and distinctive expression of the Carso terroir, an area known for its rocky soils and windy climate which gives local wines unique characteristics. Produced in the renowned Kante winery, known for its artisanal approach and attention to detail, this Vitovska is a white wine that impresses with its freshness and minerality.

Visually, it presents a bright straw-yellow color, with hints leaning towards greenish. On the nose, the bouquet is complex and delicate, characterized by notes of white fruits like apple and pear, enriched by nuances of citrus and hints of white flowers. The influence of the Carso soil is evident through a marked minerality that gives the wine a pleasing saline vein.

On the palate, Kante’s Vitovska reveals its true essence. The attack is fresh and lively, supported by good acidity that balances the structure and ensures a long aromatic persistence. The texture is elegant and harmonious, with a return of the fruity and floral sensations noticed on the nose, which blend with an almost iodine-like minerality in the finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine pairs beautifully with fish dishes, seafood, and vegetable-based preparations. It is also an excellent companion for dishes from Istrian and Mediterranean cuisine, where the flavors of the sea meet those of the land.

Kante’s Vitovska IGT is more than just a simple white wine; it is a testament to the richness and diversity of the Carso territory, capable of evoking the essence of a unique place with every sip.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
