The Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG "Montesodi" is among the most prestigious wines produced by the historic Frescobaldi winery, which boasts over 700 years of winemaking passion. This wine represents a superb expression of the Sangiovese varietal, cultivated in the Rufina area, one of the most suitable and appreciated zones of the Chianti denomination.

"Montesodi" is produced exclusively in the best vintages, from carefully selected grapes from the highest vineyards of the Montesodi estate, situated at about 400 meters above sea level. This privileged position ensures an ideal microclimate, with daily temperature variations that contribute to developing a fruit rich in aromas and of surprising freshness.

Visually, the wine displays an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that intensify as it ages. On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, vanilla, and a slight hint of tobacco due to aging in barrique. On the palate, "Montesodi" shows a robust yet harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins and a long persistence, finishing with elegant mineral and spicy notes.

Aging in barrique for about 18 months and further refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months before being released to the market endow this Chianti Rufina Riserva with a complexity and aging potential that can easily exceed a decade.

Ideal to accompany flavorful dishes such as roasts, game, and aged cheeses, the "Montesodi" by Frescobaldi is a wine that will captivate even the most demanding palate, offering a rich and memorable sensory experience.
