Borgo Salcetino Winery

The Borgo Salcetino winery has origins in the ancient tradition of a large Friulian family; in the passion and love for their land and for the excellent wine of Tuscany. Valneo and Tonino Livon founded the winery in 1996 in Radda, Chianti, extending their wine knowledge in the oldest and most suitable production area of Chianti Classico.

The Borgo Salcetino vineyard covers an area of 15 hectares and has been completely renovated, both in terms of plant density and the qualitative selection of the vines. The Livon family has decided to give priority to native varieties, such as Sangiovese and Canaiolo, while the only international grape grown is Merlot.

The soils are mainly composed of clay, silt and sand. The beautiful cellar has been carefully restored in all its parts, and is expertly underground to maintain a constant temperature. the three wines of Borgo Salcetino are aged in large oak barrels and are: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and IGT Rossole.

They are excellent wines produced with a traditional style in its typically territorial elegance, capable of wonderfully interpreting the great potential of the Tuscan territory.
