The Le Rocche Malatestiane company is located in Rimini, on the splendid Adriatic coast and its vineyards are grown on the hills overlooking the sea. It has always represented the winemaking traditions of the area, and it is with great pride that since 1959 the company and its wines bear the famous name of the Malatesta family, Lordship of Rimini from the thirteenth to the fifteenth century.

Le Rocche Malatestiane employs 500 winemakers, with 800 hectares of vineyards, which start from the upper Val Marecchia and reach the hinterland of Cattolica, on the border between Romagna and the Marche. This large company produces the best DOC Colli di Rimini and DOC Romagna.

Territories located in different positions that appear like a mosaic, different in altitude, in soil composition and in their position with respect to the sea. Since 2011, with the "Terre Rimini del Sangiovese" project, the company has upgraded its production, through the enhancement of the Sangiovese grape, which most represents them and which includes over 70% of local production. The areas were thus subjected to soil analysis, with a zoning that divided 3 large terroirs, and with new methods of selecting the grapes in the cellar and a separate vinification; an interpretation has been produced that best represents the typical characteristics of the vine and the great terroirs of origin.

In addition to Sangiovese, the winery produces various types of wines that are born from native vines including Rebola, Pagadebit and Biancame, but also international vines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The great passion for viticulture and for the territory has prompted the company to restore a beautiful underground cave located in the interior of Monte Giove, near the hill on which Santarcangelo di Romagna stands, in the Province of Rimini. Here the Sangiovese Mons Jovis is refined, in a stable climatic condition and a perfect balance of all the factors that serve to make the wine an extraordinary drink.
