Mullineux & Leeu Winery

We are located in the Swartland wine region, sixty kilometers from Cape Town in South Africa, where Chris and Andrea Mullineux in 2007, after having worked several years in French, Californian and South African wineries, decide to settle here and found the Mullineux Winery.

The passion, the old vineyards and the terroir based on granite and schists, in which the founders immediately believed, bear fruit in a short time. The company is in fact established as one of the best known and most renowned wine brands in the South African state, both locally and internationally, receiving thirty 5-star reviews from Platter's South African Wine Guide; in addition to having been awarded, again by the latter, as Winery of the Year for 4 times.

The appointments and acknowledgments received are also of importance; first and foremost that to Andrea as International Winemaker of the Year 2016 by Wine Enthusiast, and in 2016 Chris and Andrea were South African Winemaker of the Year by Tim Atkin.

Chris and Andrea later in 2013 decide to join forces with Analjit Singh; together with founding partner Peter Dart they started a parallel winery in Franschhoek called Leeu Passant. Leeu Passant Winery is located on Leeu Estates, which is also home to Analjit's hospitality portfolio, the Leeu Collection.

This is where the name the company has today derives and originates.
