Winery Domaine Plageoles

Domaine Plageoles is a family-run estate active since the 19th century; sources indicate that the estate has been farmed by the Plageoles family since 1805 and passed down through generations. Over time the owners have recovered and preserved the traditional local grape varieties of the Gaillac region, developing a deep relationship with its ampelographic heritage.

The estate emphasizes the expression of the terroir and indigenous varieties, practicing organic farming and low-intervention winemaking with native yeasts. This approach seeks to respect the soil and the fruit to produce wines that reflect authenticity and local character.

Located in the Gaillac area, the estate extends over parcels between Cahuzac-sur-Vère, Castelnau-de-Montmiral and Montels; the soils are described as clay-limestone and sandy, typical of the Gaillac vineyards.
