Winery history Azienda Agricola Rontana

Founded in 2000 by Gualberto and Riccardo Ricci Curbastro together with Daria Costa to promote the viticultural qualities of Brisighella. The Ricci Curbastro family traces agricultural roots to the 13th century and cites continuity across eighteen generations; from 2017 Gualberto and Filippo Ricci Curbastro have reinforced the estate's development.

Production philosophy

Emphasis on valorising the territory and family traditions; vineyards trained to Guyot, permanent grass cover, no chemical herbicides and managed with integrated pest management; targeted measures for hydrogeological stability.

Located in the municipality of Brisighella (the “Brisighella” subzone of Romagna Sangiovese DOC). Estate vineyards cover about 8.3 ha split into three parcels (plantings in 2007 and 2020–2021), slightly calcareous soils with 61% silt, 32% sand and 7% clay, a marl‑sandstone substrate at 4–6 m; vineyard elevations cited between 420–450 m a.s.l.
