Winery history Tenuta Fratini

The Tenuta Fratini project began as a new commitment by the Fratini family in the Bolgheri area: the winery was launched with a focus on producing high-quality red wines and with the involvement of international winemaking consultants. Brothers Corrado and Marcello Fratini, already known for earlier experience in the wine sector, refocused their efforts in the area with the project started in 2016, bringing the family back into wine production in Bolgheri.

Production philosophy

The pursuit of quality through detailed study of soils and exposures, small-scale production, and a balance between technological innovation and traditional winemaking techniques to showcase the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate and vineyards are located in Donoratico, in the Bolgheri DOC area. The vineyards are divided into numerous micro-parcels and extend across sites with varied exposures, situated at approximately 80 to 235 meters above sea level.

Awards and recognitions

Recognitions and scores from specialized guides: for example, Falstaff reports high scores for the winery’s labels.
