Winery Tenuta Monteloro

The estate is today presented as one of Antinori's estates; its official website describes Monteloro as a territory historically frequented by Florentine families and linked to local tradition. Over the years the estate has been developed to showcase the expression of the aromatic white varieties grown in these hillside vineyards.

The approach emphasizes the expression of the hillside's cool, mineral terroir, favors international aromatic varieties and employs winemaking techniques designed to preserve freshness and varietal character.

Situated behind Fiesole, on the lower slopes of the Apennines at about 500 m above sea level, the estate features clay-limestone soils with gravelly areas and a relatively cool climate that favors white grapes. According to Antinori's page, the property extends over roughly 600 hectares, with about 122 hectares under vine.
