Winery Cantina del Vermentino di Monti

The winery was founded as a cooperative in 1956 by 22 local winegrowers. In 1959 it produced its first Cannonau; in 1992 the Sagra del Vermentino was launched; and in 1996 Vermentino di Gallura received DOCG recognition. Over the years the winery has earned national and international accolades, with mentions and awards for some of its flagship wines.

Enhancing the native Vermentino grape and the Gallura area through cooperative effort: selection of grapes from members, controlled production processes, and a range that interprets the variety in different styles.

The grapes come mainly from Monti and neighboring municipalities in Gallura. Production is closely tied to the characteristics of the Monte Limbara and Gallura area, historically suited to Vermentino di Gallura DOCG.

National and international awards for several of the winery's wines; among the recognitions listed is the Gran Medaglia d'Oro at Vinitaly, as well as recent awards listed in the awards section of the official website.
