Production method
The grappas are made from fresh pomace from the estate's vineyards; fermentation and subsequent distillation follow traditional methods (discontinuous method) and aging takes place in small wooden casks.

Fontanafredda was established in the second half of the 19th century and is closely linked to the history of Barolo; the official company history records the estate's founding in 1858 and describes continuous development up to contemporary activities that include production of pomace-based specialties and the Villaggio Narrante project.
