The Alghero Torbato Spumante Rosé Brut by Sella & Mosca is a sparkling wine with an engaging and refined personality, originating from the picturesque lands of Sardinia. This sparkling wine stands out for its bright pink color and its unique composition, primarily derived from the Torbato grape, a variety locally appreciated for its ability to express freshness and vivacity.

The production of this sparkling wine follows the traditional method of bottle fermentation, which ensures the finesse of its bubbles and the elegance of its perlage. After fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the yeasts for a period of time that enriches the bouquet with complex notes of yeast and toasted bread, mingling with aromas of red fruits like strawberries and raspberries, and a slight hint of citrus.

On the palate, the Alghero Torbato Spumante Rosé Brut reveals a balanced and harmonious structure. The acidity is well-integrated and stimulates a persistent freshness that invites another sip. The creamy texture and delicate bubbles caress the palate, making this sparkling wine ideal to accompany light appetizers, fish-based dishes, or simply to enjoy as the star of a special toast.

Thanks to its distinctive character and versatility, this sparkling wine from Sella & Mosca proves to be an excellent choice for those seeking a wine capable of combining tradition and innovation, offering a unique and memorable sensory experience.

Winery history
Founded in 1899 by two Piedmontese entrepreneurs, Erminio Sella and Edgardo Mosca, the estate was established through the reclamation of the plain north of Alghero. Over time the company has developed across a large Mediterranean property; alongside the historic winery and service buildings there are hospitality facilities created in the old farm buildings. Since 2016 Sella & Mosca has been part of the Terra Moretti group, which has initiated renovation and investment works on the estate.
Production philosophy
It combines the enhancement of Sardinian native grape varieties with the cultivation and celebration of international varieties. It promotes practices focused on environmental sustainability and on the connection with the territory, with sustainability certification projects.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in the La Nurra area in northwest Sardinia, near Alghero. The vineyards benefit from calcareous, sandy and clay soils and from the influence of the sea. Sella & Mosca also has vineyards in other parts of the island, such as Gallura and Sulcis.
