The Riesling Steingrubler Grand Cru from Domaine Barmes Buecher represents the quintessential expression of the Alsace region. The selected grapes come from a particular area called Steingrubler, well-known for its rich limestone and mineral soil that gives the wine a characteristic mineral profile. This Riesling is bright and clear with a pale yellow-green hue.

On the nose, it develops a complex bouquet where notes of white-fleshed fruit, such as peach and green apple, intertwine with hints of wildflowers and a slight herbal touch. On the palate, the wine is balanced and vibrant, with a freshness that permeates the taste thanks to excellent acidity, while mineral aromas enrich every sip.

Bottle aging before commercialization allows this Riesling to further develop its complexity, offering a silky texture and a long and persistent finish. Excellent to enjoy young, it also has good aging potential. This wine pairs beautifully with elaborate fish dishes, seafood, and typical Alsatian dishes.
