Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva 2017 - Poggio alle Mura - Jéroboam - Banfi represents one of the most refined and long-lasting expressions of the Tuscan territory. This wine is made from selected Sangiovese, cultivated on the hills of Montalcino, a terroir renowned for its clay-limestone composition and the perfectly balanced climate between temperature fluctuations and ventilation.
The aging takes place in oak barrels for an extended period, giving the wine a complex structure and a unique aromatic depth. In the glass, it shows an intense and deep ruby color, while on the nose it releases elegant scents of ripe cherry, undergrowth, and black pepper, accompanied by slight spicy and tobacco notes. On the palate, it is full, harmonious, with soft but firm tannins that well balance the freshness and sapidity typical of Sangiovese.
Perfect with red meats, roasts, and hard cheeses, this Brunello fully expresses the excellence of Banfi and the winemaking tradition of Montalcino.
