The Calabria Rosso IGT - Megonio - Magnum, produced by the renowned Librandi winery, represents an authentic and rich expression of the Calabrian terroir. This wine is made exclusively from Magliocco grapes, a native variety of the region, which imparts a distinctive and unique character to this label.

The harvesting of Magliocco grapes is done manually, usually towards the end of October, ensuring that each grape reaches the peak of ripeness. After the harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barriques and an additional aging period in the bottle.

Visually, the Megonio boasts an intense and brilliant ruby-red color. On the nose, the bouquet is complex and seductive, with aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy notes of black pepper, and a slight balsamic touch. On the palate, it is robust and well-structured, with elegant tannins and a persistent freshness that perfectly balances the fruit's intensity.

This wine is an excellent companion to traditional Calabrian cuisine dishes, such as roast pork or baked pasta with sausage and tomato. It is also ideal with aged cheeses or grilled red meats.

The Magnum format of the Megonio is perfect for special occasions, offering the opportunity to enjoy its evolution over time and to celebrate important moments with a wine of great impact and memorability.
