Calabria Rosso IGT - Megonio - Magnum - Librandi 2020
VAT incl.
There are those who tell the story, the tradition and the passion with words; Cantina Librandi has chosen to do it through wine. In Cirò, a magnificent corner of Calabria, hard wines are born with a history behind them; it is here that Megonio was born, whose name is a tribute to the homonymous Roman centurion who lived in the Calabrian lands in the second century AD. and which was the first to leave written traces of our viticulture.
The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October. Fermentation is in thermo-conditioned steel with 15 days maceration. Aging in wood, for 12 months in Allier barrique and with a stay in the bottle for 6 months before being put on the market.
A wine that has an intense ruby red color in the glass. The nose is intoxicated by the iIntense fruity aromas of cherry and plum. A warm, full-bodied, enveloping and balanced red, capable of surprising up to the last sip. On the table it is excellent in combination with meat dishes, game, roasts and aged cheeses.
