The Chablis 1Er Cru - Mont de Milieu 2023 from Domaine Denis Race is a distinguishable example of the renowned Chablis terroir. This wine, cultivated in the limestone-rich soils and marine fossil deposits typical of the area, offers a fresh minerality that perfectly intertwines with fruity tones. The 2023 harvest benefited from optimal weather conditions that allowed the grapes to reach an ideal balance between ripeness and acidity.

In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, such as apple and pear, floral accents, and a distinctive mineral note reminiscent of flint. On the palate, the Mont de Milieu 2023 is vibrant and well-structured, with a freshness that lingers in a long, clean finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this Chablis 1Er Cru pairs wonderfully with seafood, baked fish, or chicken dishes. It represents an excellent choice for those seeking a wine that combines elegance and complexity while maintaining a vigorous freshness.

Winery history
Family-run for four generations, the domaine reports vineyards ranging in age from 2 to 65 years. In recent years two of the family's daughters have taken an active role in the domaine's activities, with Claire responsible for winemaking and vineyard work and Marine also involved in administrative duties.
Production philosophy
Work focused on vineyard care and control of the winemaking process: mechanical harvesting since 1985, pneumatic pressing, use of temperature‑controlled stainless steel tanks, monitoring of fermentations and an ageing period of approximately 9–10 months before bottling. Attention to vine health and temperature control is emphasized as a priority.
