The Champagne R de Ruinart in magnum format offers an elegant, restrained profile from the house of Ruinart. With a pale straw color and fine, persistent bubbles, it opens on the nose with hints of white fruit, citrus nuances and a bouquet of white flowers, accompanied by light bready notes that add olfactory complexity. On the palate it shows balance between freshness and sapidity, with a creamy texture and a persistent finish that invites another sip without excessive power.
Suitable as an aperitif and to accompany fish dishes, shellfish and light preparations, this magnum Champagne is well suited to convivial sharing. It is recommended to serve it well chilled in tulip-shaped glasses to appreciate its perlage and aromas. The magnum format provides a striking presentation at the table and can offer more even cellaring than smaller bottles, making it a practical choice for celebrations and ceremonies.

The winery
Ruinart
Champagne (Reims)France
Maison Ruinart, the oldest established Champagne house, founded on 1 September 1729 in Reims; renowned for a Chardonnay-driven style and its historic chalk cellars (crayères).
The story
Founded on 1 September 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, inspired by the monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. In the 18th century the House acquired the underground crayères in Reims for ageing; the family became Ruinart de Brimont in 1817. The House continues its historic activity in Reims and the Champagne region.
Production philosophy
Pursuit of elegance with Chardonnay as the emblematic grape, care for terroir and living soils, commitment to sustainable viticulture (HVE and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certifications), collaborations with the arts, and innovation in eco‑designed packaging (e.g. "Seconde Peau").
Terroir and vineyards
Champagne region (France): grapes come mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. Historic vineyards include Sillery (Grand Cru) and Taissy (Premier Cru). The historic crayères are dug beneath Reims.
