The Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC Gaun by Alois Lageder elegantly expresses the freshness and minerality typical of the South Tyrolean territory. Coming from vineyards located in hilly positions, this Chardonnay benefits from cool nights and thermal excursions that preserve its vibrant acidity. The wine presents a bright straw-yellow color, characterized by intense aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, such as peach and apple, accompanied by delicate hints of white flowers and a slightly buttery nuance. The aging, partly in steel and partly in wood, gives the Gaun a soft structure without losing its natural freshness. On the palate, the drink is harmonious and full-bodied, with a long, clean, and slightly savory finish that invites a second sip. Excellent paired with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, it is a perfect interpretation of Chardonnay in an Alpine context.
