This gin is named after the 1736 law that imposed a tax of fifty pounds on anyone wishing to produce and sell gin in the United Kingdom. It honors tradition with a classic distillation method, employing a variety of carefully selected botanicals. Among these, juniper, rue, coriander, and orange stand out, together creating a rich and complex aromatic bouquet.
Visually, Fifty Pounds presents itself with a crystalline clarity. On the nose, hints of juniper and citrus emerge, with slight hints of exotic spices that invite immediate tasting. On the palate, it is distinguished by its incredible smoothness, accompanied by a taste experience that skillfully balances freshness and spicy warmth. The finish is long and clean, with an aftertaste that leaves a pleasant sense of aromatic harmony.
Served neat or as the base for sophisticated cocktails, Fifty Pounds London Dry Gin is capable of elevating any tasting experience. Perfect for a classic gin and tonic or a bolder martini, it is a must-have for aficionados of the genre and places well-crafted drinking at the heart of convivial moments and pure pleasure.
