A multi-layered varietal white wine from the Tokaj Hegyalja wine region of Hungary. After harvesting, the Furmint grapes are pressed whole in the Oremus cellar; during this process the berries are not destemmed and crushed. Afterwards, a larger part is fermented in new Hungarian oak barrels - the smaller part is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently the wine ages for 7 months in Hungarian oak barrels. During the first two months, the fine yeast is stirred regularly.

In the glass it has a brilliant pale yellow color with golden reflections. The lush bouquet reveals an aroma of fresh grapefruits and lemons, floral notes of linden blossom and chamomile and a fine hint of herbs, saffron and oak. With a strong, full body and lively acidity, this Hungarian white wine convinces on the palate. The multi-layered aromas of the nose unfold wonderfully in the taste and resonate in the elegant and long finish.

Enjoy this dry white wine from Hungary with fresh fish dishes, crispy roast pork with hearty side dishes and also white meats such as chicken in puff pastry with gravy.

Winery history
The Oremus project was launched with investment from the Álvarez family to revive quality production in the Tokaj region after the communist era. The winery was developed by combining modern techniques with a revival of local traditions, enhancing the historic underground cellars and the vineyards in the Tolcsva area.
Production philosophy
