Insoglio del Cinghiale di Campo di Sasso is a Tuscan IGT wine that embodies the most authentic essence of the Sienese territory, a true tribute to Tuscan winemaking tradition. Produced with a selection of indigenous grape varieties, predominantly Sangiovese, this intense red stands out for its elegant and well-balanced structure, the result of careful vinification and expert aging.

Its bouquet opens with notes of ripe wild berries, cherry, and plum, harmoniously blended with hints of delicate spices, aromatic herbs, and a touch of tobacco. On the palate, it reveals a soft and enveloping tannic texture, supported by a vibrant freshness that enhances its gustatory persistence.

This wine is born on the gentle slopes of Chianti Colli Senesi, a renowned area for the quality of its clay-limestone soils and favorable microclimate, which give the grapes balance and complexity. Insoglio del Cinghiale pairs perfectly with flavorful dishes from Tuscan cuisine, such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, enhancing their flavors with its richness and finesse.

Winery located in the western part of Alta Maremma, in Bibbona (Tuscany). It is part of the project associated with Tenuta di Biserno and produces the Toscana IGT wines known as Insoglio del Cinghiale, as well as white and rosé wines.
Region: Toscana
Country: Italia
Grapes: Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Vermentino, Sangiovese
Signature wine: Insoglio del Cinghiale — a Syrah-based blend with Bordeaux varieties. White label "Occhione" 100% Vermentino. The estate's range includes recent rosés. Vineyards in several parcels with sandy soils and a strong maritime influence. Project associated with Lodovico Antinori and Tenuta di Biserno.
Winery history
The Campo di Sasso project is closely linked to the Antinori family and to the development of Tenuta di Biserno. The estate originated from the identification of vineyards in the Bibbona/Bolgheri area and the development of vineyards across several parcels; over time production has expanded to include, in addition to the historic red wine, white and rosé wines tied to the same territory.
Production philosophy
The stated objective is to express the marine, sandy character of Alta Maremma through Bordeaux-style blends and Mediterranean varieties, prioritizing drinkability and balance. The winery emphasizes the relationship between parcels, sandy soils and the coastal climate to produce wines that are recognizable and true to the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in Bibbona, in the western part of the Tuscan Maremma, close to the Tyrrhenian coast and near Bolgheri. The soil is predominantly sandy, with a moderating maritime influence; the vineyards are planted in several low-altitude parcels.
