The Merlot DOP Isonzo del Friuli of Colmello di Grotta is born in one of the most suitable areas of Friuli Venezia Giulia, characterized by a climate softened by the proximity of the Isonzo river and clay-calcareous soils ideal for the Merlot grape variety. This wine expresses an elegant and harmonious character, with a bouquet that blends notes of ripe cherry, plum, and light spicy hints.



The aging takes place in oak barrels that provide structure while maintaining freshness and a tactile balance on the palate. On the taste, it is soft, with velvety tannins and a pleasant fruity persistence. It pairs well with red meat dishes, roasts, and aged cheeses, enhancing their flavors without overpowering them.
