The Mezcal Onofre Ortiz Mexicano is an authentic and vibrant expression of the Oaxaca region, the beating heart of Mexican mezcal tradition. Produced in the palenque of Onofre Ortiz, it is a distillate made exclusively from Espadín agave, cultivated on the hilly lands surrounding the distillery, giving the mezcal a personality deeply rooted in the terroir.

The production process reflects traditional artisanal mastery: the agave piñas are cooked underground in wood-fired ovens, then manually crushed and spontaneously fermented in wooden vats, before being slowly distilled in copper stills. This ancient method imparts the final liquid with a complex bouquet, characterized by intense smoky notes, fresh agave herbal hints, and mineral touches, balanced by a delicate caramelized sweetness.

On the palate, the Mezcal Onofre Ortiz Mexicano stands out for its full and enveloping structure, capable of evoking the earth and fire from which it was born. Perfect as an aperitif or accompaniment to flavorful Mexican dishes, it enhances aged cheeses, grilled and spiced meats, offering an immersive and authentic experience.
