The Montlouis-sur-Loire Nature by François Chidaine represents a sublime expression of the Chenin Blanc grape variety, cultivated in the iron-rich and clay soils of the picturesque Loire Valley region. This organic and biodynamic wine, unfiltered and with no added sulfites, is the result of a meticulous winemaking process that respects the natural cycles of the grape.

The Chidaine Nature stands out for its crystalline clarity and straw-yellow color with bright reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex and captivating bouquet with notes of citrus, pear, honey, and a mineral touch that reflect the purity of its terroir. On the palate, the wine surprises with its perfect balance between lively acidity and a delicate structure. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, with a finish that returns to fresh fruit tones and mineral nuances.

Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with fish dishes, seafood, and goat cheeses. The Montlouis-sur-Loire Nature by François Chidaine is an excellent choice for those wishing to discover the elegance and purity of natural wines from the Loire.

Winery history
Francois Chidaine is originally from Montlouis-sur-Loire and established his own domaine in the late 1980s, building on the family estate. The project grew gradually: from his settlement in 1989 to the expansion of vineyard parcels in Montlouis, Vouvray and Touraine; conversion to organic farming and the subsequent adoption of biodynamic practices have been central to its development. His wife Manuéla opened the tasting room "La Cave Insolite" on the riverfront in Montlouis.
Production philosophy
Work focused on soil conservation and biodynamics: organic farming practices, use of biodynamic preparations, cover cropping, hand-harvesting with multiple selection passes, and careful winemaking that respects the character of each parcel. The approach favors minimal intervention in the winery and the enhancement of the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are spread across Montlouis‑sur‑Loire, Vouvray and areas within the Touraine appellation, on soils typical of the region including tuffeau, flinty clays and clay‑limestone. The estate has parcels on both banks of the Loire, producing wines that reflect the minerality of the local terroirs.
